Female Genital  Mutilation: Research into this subject  led me to understand what a complex issue this is. This practice has been carried out on women and children  for so many thousands of years its reasons and origins are lost in time. Still thousands of children are subjected to this every day somewhere in the world. Criminalisation and legislation will not end it, but education and raising awareness  might.
